2013 Ford Fiesta SE Sedan 1.6 Duratec Ti-VCT I-4 engine

Summary:

This is an amazing car, and I am extremely happy with my purchase

General Comments:

The new Ford Fiesta is a beautiful car. It has the new Microsoft Sync built-in, so that you can connect your phone with Bluetooth to receive and make calls. The system is able to dial numbers with your phone through voice activation. There is also a number pad on the dash that can be used to dial numbers as well.

I am averaging about 28.7 MPG in the city where I live, but Ford says it can get up to about 39 on the highway. They also told me that some people have reported averaging around 43 MPG, but it is dependent on how you drive.

The seats are very comfortable, and the interior is surprisingly spacious for such a small car. From the outside, the trunk also looks very small, but when it is open, you can see that the trunk is actually very deep and spacious as well.

The car is slightly jerky when I push on the gas sometimes (not often), but I attribute this to still not being fully accustomed to the new engine compared to my old car (which had transmission slip).

The dashboard and steering wheel are accented with red lighting (may or may not vary with other Fiestas) that looks very sharp.

At $3.15 per gallon of gas, it only takes about $30 to fill it up, and lasts about 2.5 weeks. My old car cost about $45 to fill and only lasted about 1.75 weeks.

Ford is offering a more fuel efficient Fiesta sedan soon. It will have a three cylinder turbo engine. Looks are subjective, but I don't care for the look of the Fiesta sedan. The hatch looks far better.

2011 Ford Fiesta SES 1.6

Summary:

It has it all: great MPG, beautiful design, and FUN to drive!

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

I'm at 20k miles on my Fiesta, and still love it more and more every day!

I have an SES (hatchback) with the 6-speed PowerShift automatic transmission; I did not opt for the Intelligent Access, leather trim, or heated seats. I bought the Fiesta for its low MPG, low price for the features available, and styling.

Some people have had trouble with the PowerShift, since it's a new technology for Ford, but mine has worked flawlessly. It isn't a "slushbox" automatic, you do feel/notice the shifting, but it functions very smoothly. The car learns your driving style the first 3k miles, and the transmission and MPG improve noticeably after that.

I'm a member of a Fiesta enthusiast web forum: www.fiestafaction.com/forums and have found the community to be help before and since I bought my Fiesta. I recommend it as a resource to any prospective buyers!

2011 Ford Fiesta SES Hatchback 1.6L gas

Summary:

Very fun to drive

Faults:

The only issue I have had with my Fiesta is the Sync system freezing up. After I updated my software to get rid of the 'bug', I didn't have any other issues.

General Comments:

This is seriously a great car. It's very fun to drive. It does exactly what I want out of a car, and I really don't mind it being so small. I have fit four average sized adults in there with no problem. It's not something I would do everyday, but it wasn't terribly uncomfortable.

I have heard a lot of talk about how the Fiesta is not a good car, and it does not handle or switch gears well. I have not had any issues with the way the car drives. I can only assume that it is the people that are driving the vehicle, and not the vehicle itself that has problems.

My car is not loud, in fact I can barely hear it once the radio is on and I'm on the highway.

I have also never had any problems with visibility. I am just an average sized female, so I'm not struggling to get in and out of the car.

Obviously I wouldn't buy this car if I was 6 foot 5.

I am not a fan of the sedan, I like the hatch much better. It is also the bright magenta, and it looks great in all lights.

I got a great deal on my car, and it is not overpriced in any way.

I wouldn't assume it's the driver's fault. The Fiesta can have problems, just like any other car.
