2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren SLR V8 hand-built

Summary:

Simply the best

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this fine automobile. Only the regular oil changes and such; the car is still brand new.

General Comments:

I have been waiting 1.5 years for the purchase of my breath-taking, devastatingly fast supercar. I chose the SLR after driving every new supercar available. (No, I did not test the Veyron, which I find appalling). I found the SLR to be superior in terms of comfort, engine noise, performance and godliness. It is a true long distance car, with race car tendencies.

I have never been beaten in a race. It surpasses all of my expectations of what a great supper should be. I have owned Ferrari and Aston, but this is far superior to all of them. It is a marvel of speed, sound and beauty.

It shall always sit between my original Gullwing 300SL, and my CLK GTR.

2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 5.5 litre V8

Summary:

Nothing like it!

Faults:

Absolutely nothing.

General Comments:

To begin with, this is probably the most beautiful car ever built by man.

The interior is perfect, at 6'1 it's snug for me, but that's what 2 seater's are like.

When it comes to performance, there's nothing like it.

The looks of a Mercedes make heads turn. The performance of a McLaren makes your head spin!

At 0-60 in a short 3.8 seconds, you'll be looking at a lot of cars in that rear view mirror.

At 617 hp, this beast really runs.

The handling is far superior to any of my Ferraris, Lambos or Porsches.

The roar of the engine, the looks, the speed, the thrill of a whole experience, is overwhelming.

Much better then sitting with a driver in my old Maybach.

The 13 mpg does empty my wallet though!

It is real expensive to run, but hey, there is no such thing as a cheap super car.

If you're one of those few with 400 to 500 grand and are stuck between an Enzo, Carrera GT, Murcielago, and an SLR, GO FOR AN SLR!!!

GO FOR AN ENZO. The SLR looks cheap inside. A Pagani Zonda is more opulent. If I paid out 3-4 hundred k then I would want something better than the SLR. That's only my opinion.

Owning maybe a million dollars or more in cars and you're commenting about the fuel costs? Doesn't sound very plausible.
