Summary:

The little car that could!

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

This car is so much more than I anticipated; I bought it to commute when gas prices went up, but it has been so much more.

It's economical, spacious, zippy in traffic, responds well and comfortable.

With a removable roof rack, I can carry two kayaks.

The trunk, while it looks small, actually fits a decent amount of gear. (4 people, a dog and a weeks worth of luggage for each on a 1,000 trip and no one complained!)

I have found that by removing the front passenger head rest and pushing the seat all the way forward, it WILL lay flat if I get caught in bad weather while camping.

Get better gas mileage in winter when not running the A/C of course.

Only thing I would change about this car is the lack of arm rests on the front seats.

"You put FOUR people, a dog etc in the trunk... LOL."

That's obviously not what the original reviewer meant...

I agree, it's a very spacious car. Congratulations!

I got an armrest for my Versa from ebay for $40. Best thing ever, and easy to install.

Summary:

Love it!

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this car to date.

General Comments:

We love it. It was purchased after a nightmare with a Pontiac Aztek (yeah, you know the ugly unreliable "car"), I have two kids and my husband and I have no problem with the interior space. We have even used the car to transport some pretty big things by putting the back seats down.

I had to mark semi-automatic on the transmission question. Not sure of that is correct. The model we have has the new CVT transmission and it has the same feel as a manual, but you do not shift.

I love this car!!

Summary:

A great combination of quality, comfort, room and economy

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

The Versa is far more car than I expected for the money. The interior is amazingly roomy and comfortable, with big seats and lots of head and leg room, especially in the back. My Versa is solid and quiet, even with snow tires and it doesn't feel or drive like a 'cheap' car. The ride is comfortable, the handling is nimble if not as sporty as the Honda Fit, and outward visibility is outstanding, making the Versa extremely easy to park.

My only negatives are the poorly placed and unlit power mirror controls, the inboard-mounted seat recliners (which I've managed to get used to) and the rear seats which don't fold flush with the floor. Otherwise, this car is a home run and I'm extremely pleased with it.

Summary:

Great value, great car!

Faults:

Tire pressure monitoring system.

General Comments:

Fantastic value for the money.

I work for Nissan and had no intention on buying a Versa when I visited the dealer. I took one test drive and decided to give it a go; figured if I didn't like it I would give it to my 16 year old as her first car.

I ended up loving the car! Drives great, handles fine, mileage is around 28 in town and over 34 on hwy, what's not to like.

Bluetooth phone, great stereo and all for half what a one year old Maxima was going to cost me.

Summary:

Best bang for your buck

Faults:

The only issue I have had with the car is the brakes squeal when it is hot out. I contacted the dealer and they informed me on what caused it, and how to fix it.

General Comments:

Exterior:

The exterior is not the best of cars I considered before purchasing this car, but it grows on you.

Interior:

Here is where the car shines. In all the other vehicles I test drove, none had the amount of arm/leg room for all 4 passengers. It feels like I am driving in a SUV, but low to the ground.

The only gripe I have is there is not very much room in the trunk, but the hatchback is nicer then the regular version.

Features:

I wanted a manual transmission, however I still wanted everything else... power windows/locks/AC... the only thing that didn't come on the S model was cruise control, but I can live with that since I don't do too much highway driving.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

For 2010 they added cruise as an option package on the Versa S model. The S model has a four speed automatic, the SL gets the CVT and I think the hatches might be different than the sedan for 2010. They also did a mild update to the styling, new wheel covers and grille. It beat the Yaris in March 2010 Consumer Reports, but they said it wasn't reliable.
