2007 Ford Everest 2.5 turbo diesel

Summary:

Perfect for Mindanao. Runs high and economical

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this Ford except for a new battery at 50,000km.

General Comments:

This vehicle is actually made in Thailand and imported into the Philippines under the ASEAN free trade agreement.

New price was 1.4 Million Peso (about $30,000).

The vehicle is actually Mazda designed and sold in other countries as the Ford Ranger, except the Everest seats 7 and is a light SUV available in two or four wheel drive.

I get an average of 11km per litre.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I am the original writer of this review. In the last 6 weeks I have added over 10,000 KM on this Ford, driving back and forth from Mindanao across Leyte, Samar and Luzon, over some of the worst roads you can imagine in the Philippines. No problems whatsoever. I just changed the oil. The comfort level for the driver is excellent. I mention this as I am 6ft 3" so this is a big issue for me. Ford really found the right combination of quality, smooth ride and comfort when they designed this SUV. I love it, and may it take me to Mindanao many more times.
