2018 Subaru Levorg DIT 1.6 turbo gasoline
Summary:
A station wagon Impreza STI with a 1.6 turbo and slightly civilized suspension
Faults:
Nothing so far.
General Comments:
This is my second Levorg. The first one was a 2015 and I kept it about a year back then and traded it for an Outback
While still keeping the Outback, I found out this 2018 with only 45000km, went to see the car, test drove it and the deal was done.
The Levorg is not a car that prioritizes comfort on uneven or bad roads. The priority above all is handling and cornering. The 1.6 DIT does not offer sports car level performance, but it's good and more than enough for every purpose.
While car is roomy enough, it's sensibly smaller than an Outback. A Levorg is basically a station wagon Impreza with sportyish suspension. The overall size and roominess is on par with cars such as the Renault Megane wagon or the Golf wagon etc.
There is quite a bit of road noise, but a little music cures this.
In term of steering, engine noise, suspension, gearbox and so on, I found the 2018 being a massive update to the 2015.
The one advice from my side, to the future potential Levorg owners, is just to skip 2015 and 2016 and go for a 2018.
The car doesn't lean in curves. While I am not a speeding driver and am a rather conservative driver, I am always so much surprised why others slow down so much in curves.
That basically summarizes what it is like to drive the Levorg.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
