1999 Acura 1.6 EL Premium review from North America
"Couldn't have gone wrong with this purchase"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bad cup Holder, Realized that on the 2nd day of driving with a large coffee in there that spilled over the passenger side floor.
Stock All Season Tires are Good For Summer, but not meant for the least winter.
Change of rims/tires and suspension has made the car much better.
Runs out of power from 100km to 120km. I solved that problem by adding an after market Short Intake with K&N filter, Breather and a performance exhaust. You might also want to shift out of 4th gear after you reach 95km it helps.
I found that shifting to R gear either is hard or grinds and to solve that I let the car warm up or I give it a small warm up by going to each gears and then moving it at N and then to reverse gear easily falls in place.
Oil Burns.
General comments?
LOVING THIS CAR AND A FRIEND OF MINE WHO HAS THE SAME YEAR CIVIC AGREED THAT THE BODY ON THE 1.6 EL is more durable than a civic.
Am loving this car and.
