1998 Acura 1.6 EL EL review from North America
"Hard to imagine a better car for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The CV boots were cracked when I first purchased the vehicle, but were replaced under extended warranty.
Previous owner reported a few minor things, (such as a cracked radiator) which were fixed under the warranty.
General comments?
I have only had the car for about 6 months, but I am very pleased with it.
It has over 100000 km, but it still looks and feels new, and drives very crisply.
As others have pointed out, it is not the fastest thing on the road, but it is peppy enough by far for a typical commute. I would rather have gas dollars in my pocket than excessive horses under the hood anyways.
My one complaint is that the Honda dealership seems much more interested in selling me maintenance packages than maintaining my car. But Honda itself has been very good about honoring the terms of the warranty.
I will definitely buy another Acura (or honda).
