2003 Acura CL Type S review from North America
"Tranny is a ticking time bomb, EVEN IF IT'S REPLACED!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1. Transmission replaced at 41k.
2. HID light went out (700 dollar fix), should have bought an aftermarket HID kit.
3. Warped rotors, so I bought aftermarket cross/drilled rotors.
WORRYING THAT MY TRANNY WILL GO OUT WHILE I DON'T HAVE WARRANTY (the worst thing).
General comments?
The car runs great. It has ample power and good handling. However, the turning radius sucks!!!
Seats are very comfortable, and the A/C is great.
This is a great car with one major defect, A CRAPPY transmission that Honda won't fix. I have always bought Hondas and Acuras, but if my transmission fails and I have to pay a single dime out of my pocket to fix it, all I have to say is BYE BYE HONDA/ACURA. Hell my next car won't even be a Honda. I didn't even have a bad experience and I'm not buying another Acura/Honda again.
