1991 Acura Integra LX review from North America
"Awesome car, my son will get it in two years"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The CV boots tore at 85,000 miles.
The condenser needed to be replaced at 180,000 miles.
Brakes were replaced as needed, usually lasts around
55,000 miles.
Have gone though three mufflers.
Replaced lifts on hatch at 200,000 miles.
Replaced front springs and all struts at 200,000 miles.
The steering rack boots replace at 220,000 miles
the rack has a slight leak, But will nurse as long as I can.
General comments?
If you change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles, the transmission fluid every 15,000 miles (or once a year) if less and drain the coolant every two years this car will outlast just about anything.
The exhaust (excluding the muffler) is all original as is the starter and the alternator.
The timing belts have been replaced at each 75,000 mile interval.
Once you use original parts for the brakes pads and the mufler any more replacements are free, installation is the only cost.
At this point I have the typical squeaks and rattles
but at 225,000 miles who would complain.
