1989 Acura Integra LX review from North America

Nothing major replaced.

Rotted water hoses/ vacuum hoses.

I haven't replaced these on it yet, but these things need to be done:

Needs new passenger cv axle = $50 (my fault, I noticed the boot was torn and never got around to replacing it)

Leaks oil at headgasket = $120ish (don't plan on fixing unless leak gets worst, it is very small right now)

Also it is probably time for a timing belt/tensioner replacement = $120ish.

I'm sure the car could use suspension bushings/ ball joints / struts, etc.. but these are not shot completely.

I do all my work myself, so it is not really too expensive to repair this car.

I am only 19 and this is my 6th car. This is my 3rd Honda/acura, and I can tell you that they make great cars.

I bought this car for cheap daily transport to and from college. It gets about 32-35mpg there and back! (55mph the whole way) The car is ugly and she is no rocket, but man is she fun to drive. My weekend car is a 12sec 240sx, and the teg is actually just as fun to drive.

I couldn't have picked a better car. It suits my needs perfect, best $1400 I have ever spent.

If you keep up with your maintenance/change your fluids, the car should last 250K miles easy.

You can expect some things to break on an older car. I would only recommend buying a car this old if you can do repairs yourself, as mechanic labor can get expensive quick.
