1992 Acura Integra GS-R review from North America
"Best overall GS-R Integra"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Things wrong with the car when I bought it from a dealership, was that oil was heavily leaking bad from the head gasket area. That's what I thought it was at first. Later found out it was the v-tec solenoid leaking. So I replaced the little rubber seals and solved the problem.
Except for that, the V-Tec engaged only in first gear, so after that it would stop. Never got it fixed, so I kept on deciding to drive like that until my distributer went out, by turning the ignition off while I was on the road driving, and turning it back on, so it would reset the v-tec to engage again over and over. So if I would use v-tec it would engage and the check light would come on, after that I can't use v-tec anymore, so I would have to shut off the car to use v-tec again.
Everything else was fine. Seats/interior/exterior. I was first to modify it after some 14 or 15 years A+
General comments?
This car is an beyond excellent. Best Integra I've played with between the USDM market Integras. Wish I never sold it. Very smooth car and fast. V-tec loud and pulls hard.
