1991 Acura Integra RS review from North America
"Sport, fast and reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Very little seat wear.
Coin holder is loose (hardly a big deal).
Previous owner replaced transmission coupling.
Preventatively replaced ignition.
needs a new cam-seal.
General comments?
Car handles very well around corners and has tons of torque off the line, but lacks decent acceleration past 30-40 kilometers per hour.
Still feels very solid with little wind noise on the highway. Seems like Acura could have programmed it to get better fuel economy.
It's having a starting problem now. It'll start properly, the RPM's will shoot up normally then dip just too low, around 200-300 and sputter and die. Only happens occasionally, and when the car is warmed up. I haven't looked at it yet really.
Overall good experience with it, smart choice if (like all cars) it's in good shape.
