1992 Acura Integra LS review from North America

"Only wish I had gotten one sooner"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Main fuel relay went out (common).

Leaks in water under dash in passenger side during heavy rain (common).

Drivers side control switch for e-windows went bad (was on the way out when I got the car), as well as the switch for the sunroof.

Rear hatch struts are worn out, and don't hold it up in the cooler months - no problems in the summer though (odd, but whatever, it's not that big a deal, I just use a piece of wood to prop it open).

General comments?

This has been (and still is) a great car.

The only real problem I have had with it was when the fuel relay went out, it would periodically not start. After doing some online research and having three people look at it and not be able to figure out what the problem was (since there were a few possibilities), I finally took it to the dealer and of course they couldn't figure it out either, because it always started for them. But by this point I had already fixed / replaced all the other possible "known" problems with it, so I just told them to go ahead and replace the relay and voila, it's run perfectly ever since.

The interior in this car is awesome, no rips or tears in the fabric, no cracks in the dash etc. (though I do armor-all it every summer - but it was 12 years old when I bought it so...) the only prob. is a little sun fading on the top of the rear seats and the door panels - I put a black beach towel over the rear seats and seat covers on the front, can't do much about the door panels though :^(

I used to own a '68 Dodge Coronet with a 440 c.i. engine, so I have a pretty good idea of what fast is, and was really surprised at the get up n go that comes from this little 4 banger (it's not even the GS-R), and it doesn't consume any where near the same amount of gas. Though I would be lying if I said I didn't miss my Coronet - but I sure as hell don't miss feeding it every 3-4 days, my Integra only gets fed every 2 weeks on average.
