1990 Acura Integra GS review from North America
"A sporty, fun car with a great resale value!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I got this car for $800.00 from a buddy who needed money to get back home to Kentucky. This is the second one I have owned so I knew what I was getting into as far as problems that could occur with this vehicle. The problems it had when I bought it were:
cracked sunroof (no leaking)
drivers seat was broke (held up by a crate)
sunroof switch was kinda broke (had to wiggle it to get it to work)
front axle and ball joint broke on me after I just got off the freeway 2 months after owning it (I slid like 25 feet, but didn't hit anything)
General comments?
A great car... very good on gas and very reliable. The DOHC 1.8 motor is responsive and gets moving when you step on the gas. There is not much difference between the manual and automatic transmissions as far as gas mileage goes. The main thing you want to make sure of if you buy a generation 2 Acura Integra is 1.change the timing belt 2.replace the waterpump and 3.change the tensioner
If you do these three things you will have nothing to worry about with the motor.
