1994 Acura Integra GSR review from North America
"You couldn't ask for more from a compact sports car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Excessive wind noise at highway speeds, required new hatch gasket at 25 miles. Repair done under warranty by Dealership.
A/C condenser developed a leak resluting in it's replacement at 100,000 miles.
Radiator rusted out and was replaced at 115,000 miles.
The Ignition relay failed and had to replaced along with the distributer at 140,000 miles.
The Power Antenna has failed twice since the car was bought in 1993 at a rate of one every five years.
The OEM AM/FM Stereo with CD Player has developed problems with CD play back.
General comments?
My GSR has been a great car. I have followed the maintenance schedule and done oil changes as recommended. I have not had any major mechanical issues. I have driven this car in all conditions and it has always performed to my expectations. I have auto-crossed this car in SCCA events with about averaged results. The car handles well for average around-town commuting and highway travel, but has issues when driven hard on tight auto-cross courses. The car is still fun to drive and I plan to upgrade all components on the vehicle to performance parts.
