1989 Acura Legend LS review from North America
"A Comfortable ride even now at 13 yrs"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
General maintenance after certain 120000
Timing belt, water pump, Battery, starter.
Fuel pump, filter.
Last major was distributor, which led to spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
And finally the heat sensor in dash which was replaced. This caused unreliable startups in the summer when
sensor malfunctioned. I would have to wait 10-15 minutes to cool. Purpose for sensor was to not run the engine if it was extremely hot.
All about $760.00 labor included.
General comments?
Best yet, I didn't have to replace my radiator, since some came with plastic.
Legend 4-door models, and British version Sterlings did.
Overall, the car is a great performer, but maintenance is a bit more for having an Acura.
I should have no problem reaching 300k miles by March 2003.
