"Amazingly reliable and durable"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

If a more durable CV boot material could be developed, I would have virtually no unscheduled maintenance with this car. Those darn CV boots! I've had 4 CV joint replacement jobs due to boot failures. Of course over 10 years, I can't even complain about that too much.

General comments?

I'm not sure you can kill these cars. Mine simply runs and runs and runs. The drive train is as smooth and zippy as it was when I first got the car. It is also surprisingly quick for 160 horses. Amazingly all of the accessories still work, including some bells and whistles like 6 way power seats, with memory. The interior and exterior are completely intact, although the exterior is understandably showing some age. Having said that, the factory paint still has solid color and gloss, and it's very noticeable because I have some areas with body shop paint that is newer, but failing. 220,000 miles, doesn't use any oil and has never stranded me. I still enjoy driving it, and besides, I'm not sure how to get rid of it!

I hope you are right, I'm buying one tomorrow with 207000 miles, it looks and drives great, just a little scared about the mileage, but it is only 400, can't complain.
