1990 Acura Legend L review from North America
"The iron-man of world-class luxury cars"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The right CV axle had to be replaced, had that done at dealer.
When I first got it I thought the starter was a little questionable and I was getting ready for the beginnning of my college semester so I replaced it myself as preventative maintenance.
General comments?
This car will never die it comes from a time when Honda put it heart and soul into establishing the Acura brand.
Its basically 15 year old car and at nearly 86000 its barely reached its prime.
My parents rewarded me with an Audi A4 (2001) but even with that car this is where my heart is.
It was one of the first car to come with an airbag.
Its performance is exceptional considering its engine size which is a very small V6.
All these years an the paint is still bright and deep in color by far the best original paint job I've come across.
L model had limitless luxury options and small options that may not seem expensive, but just are not found in german powerhouses like bmw and mercedes.
In the end what separates the acura legend from other luxury cars is the beauty of japanese luxury reliablity.
This car is a LEGEND its just too bad acura lost there balls to become more independent from honda and drumped the Legend in 96. Though the legend lives.
