1988 Acura Legend L review from North America
"Ahead of its time and built to last"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace the coolant temperature sensor, the left CV axle, the front brake rotors, distributor, and the valve cover gaskets after I bought the car. I also went ahead and gave it a major tune up.
General comments?
This car runs the same as it did when it was brand new. I even get better gas mileage than what it was rated for. All the electronics still work. The CPU tells you average mpg, current mpg, distance to empty, trip meter, when the oil is low, when the coolant is low, when the wiper fluid is low, and when to change the oil. It also has auto temp. control. Its sport and luxury combined with a sleek look (coupe). It was a $28,000 brand new and I purchased it for $1,700. For a coupe it has plenty of space. The trunk is huge. Whenever anyone guesses what year it is, they usually guess that it is a 1995. A fantastic buy if you find one that has been well maintained.
