1987 Acura Legend L review from North America
"The best used car I have owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine smoked when I got it, but still ran dependably for 30,000 more mile till the clutch went.
Clutch went at roughly 180,000.
Found donor car for 300 bucks.
Parts are cheap if you know where to look.
Interior was rough when I got seats in need of repair, but comfy anyway
other wise interior fine
a/c never worked, but will soon fix with parts from donor car.
A/c controls suck defogger is not easy to use with out it.
Find one with computer climate controls.
General comments?
I love this car and my next one will be a newer sedan. Bullet proof engine fuel economy is great 30 mpg from a twenty year old v-6. Parts can be pricey if you get them from honda or acura. The brakes on this car are killers they are great four wheel disc. sunroof works perfect no leaks. The computer can be annoying at first, but useful it tells you when you need maintenace, but is tricky to reset.
Avoid automatic climate controls the set up is not easy to use at all.
