2002 Acura TL Type S review from North America
"Bad investment in the car and the manufacturer"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission replaced currently being replaced for the third time in 93K miles. Dealer is only willing to replace transmission until I hit 109K miles, which given current trends means I will have to pay for the next transmission @ approximately 120K miles, or give low black book value for trade. Acura is not willing to do anything to stand behind their vehicle, whether it be provide enough miles in an additional warranty to ensure that given current trends I can feel comfortable that they REALLY have fixed the problem or provide a manufacturer discount for a new vehicle that has proven more reliable (i.e., one that has been in production for a few years without consistent problems across the model).
