"One of the best built cars on the planet"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Single CD player.

Transmission.

ABS.

General comments?

Nearly bullet-proof luxery performance. We bought our 3.2TL new in 1996 for $30,000 (gulp!), but this car, 10 years later, has 230,000 miles on it and is still so good, so strong, so fast, so comfortable I have NO intention of letting it go. Yesterday (end of Thanksgiving weekend) we just got home from a 1200 mile round trip to see the folks. My mom (grandma) asked "gee, when did you get this car? It's beautiful"..."ten years ago, mom".

In the gas station, the tuner-kid offered $7,500 for it...dumb kid, but interesting comment (I don't need to rip him off for $7,500).

There are glitches to be sure. In the years shortly after buying the car I had reservations about it. It didn't seem to have the panache its competitors had, the drivers-side window was slow (no window scratches tho), the driver's side mirror stuck, the steering wheel felt it came out of a '57 chevy and did not feel like a cool leather-wrap job, the sun visor left a tiny slit to see through when down, the cd player went out...quirks here, quirks there. Now, years and miles, miles, miles later, this car is running perfect. Love this moter!!! The tranny had maintenance and is like new now ($1,000), the abs was replaced ($700), not much else. Both some time ago.

Cruise on our trip? 80 to 85 mph, going easy on the car. 100 mph would have been no problem at all. Windy roads? Flew through them like in a 300-series beemer.

Suttle but handsome, discreet but tough. It has the younger dudes looking at the car. Drives, handles, performs well, built like a tank, flies like an f-18...I think I will keep this car until it blows up...then I will rebuild it and drive another 350,000 to 400,000 miles. Plus, as more years roll by, I bet this ends up as a rare, in-demand classic. The best auto investment I ever made, hands down!!!!

I just bought a 97 TL 3.2 at 175506 miles. I bought it at $2,200. The KBB value is $3,395 for a fair one.

Yes, it runs good and it makes me feel secured on the freeway. Although there's a bit of a noise, it runs comfortably that normally my baby and wife sleeps during most of our not so long trips.

I was about to sell it but, because of your comment, I might as well keep it and use it (as you said) until it blows!

It is a Honda!
