Regular maintenance items: timing belt, CVs, ABS replaced, antenna - all in all, anticipated replacement items - very good for a luxury class car.
My local Acura dealer was fine when the warranty was in place. I will NEVER go back to dealer. They told me my car was toast, had major oil leaks, an unfixable transmission oil leak and I should unload it and buy a new car.
I was very upset, as I have loved the car, and my independent Honda mechanic said they were full of balonga. So, as you know, beware of dealers and find a good independent Honda dealer (also helps keep costs down as my car is top of the line in their shop).
This has been a GREAT CAR. I don't know WHAT I will do when I have to replace it - as I saw in other comments - I am still on the ORIGINAL CLUTCH at 156K miles. After a car like this I know I will be over 30K for a replacement. I will drive this car as far as it will take me.
I feel the same way about the Vigor as you do.
We bought our '92 in '94 with 60k miles on it.
Now it has 189k miles and my wife gave it to me a year
ago when my Type-R was stolen so she could get the
new car (an '03 TL). She likes the seats better in
this car (the TL's are too tuff on the bum). This car
has more of a personality and intimacy than the TL,
but I admit the TL goes much quicker, sooner, than this
car.
I keep wondering when the engine's going to give,
as I've owned two used American cars before and both
of them were used up around 100-125k miles. This one
still has good compression. I've had some electrical
gremlins during its lifetime, but most have been resolved
the first time by the dealer's service dept.
