1993 Alfa Romeo 155 review from Australia and New Zealand
"A very worthwhile headache!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Wiper arm broke.
Driver side electric window failed.
Leaking injector caused a backfire and explosion in the inlet manifold.
General comments?
Given the age and mileage of this car, it is doing very well given the bad press Alfas generally get, though if I was not mechanically inclined I would probably never buy one.
Parts are hard to come by at acceptable prices, but I fixed my electric window with a Fiat Tempra part, and replaced my injectors with used BMW ones (lots of Internet research)
The engine is the jewel in this car. It sounds wonderful and is quite strong given its modest power output.
The interior is rattly, but that was expected; all other electrics and climate and air con still work perfectly.
Handles very well on Koni sport shocks. I love it.
