"Like a Siamese Cat... elegant but temperamental."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch went last year... cost £750 to fix.
A wheel bearing.
A hose or two.
General comments?
This is a great car. It looks great, sounds great, feels great - to drive, to sit in.
The torquey engine is wonderful at low revs. Take her up through the gears on a country road and understand that Alfa make some of the best engines in the world. The way this engine revs is incomparable to any I've come across - and I've driven a few cars (normal and high performance) in my time.
Cabin is awesome... all leather, hugging seats, great touches including mesh headrests. Everybody who jumps in the passengers seat is a silent for a moment then..."coool." A pimp ride but classy with it. The charcoal grey/black understated... a classic touring car, bit fastback, 65 litre tank etc.
She's thirsty and she doesn't like sitting around in traffic but definately ok as an everyday car...don't see many of them around these days either.
Gearbox is slow, squeaky cabin, handbrake ineffectual, creeping rust, steerings a bit wobbly over 70mph...could be anything, all kinds of old parts that could with replacing but would probably cost a fortune and will have to wait.
