1993 Asuna Sunfire review from North America
"The MOST reliable car I have ever owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission rebuilt at 180,000.
New tires (front) at 190,000.
Routine maintenance oil changes @ 5,000.
Air filter, plugs and distributer.
165,000 Vacuum leak, EGR and all vacuum lines replaced, O2 sensor.
The clutch cable seized up and punched 25c hole in the firewall at around 170,000.
The driver side seat in starting to wear, moisture problems in the winter; rear tail lights, windshield and side windows. The rear defrost still works great though.
General comments?
A great car for reliability a 10 out of 10!
I have never owned such a great car EVER! (once tuned)
Handling is very good on; twisty roads, city, wet weather and highway driving.
Very compact; you fit where most vehicles can't.
Fuel economy is great.
Lots of room in the engine bay, easy to work on (all metric).
Lotus suspension! Need I say more?
