Rust under the body.
Low economy (about 17 liters/100 km)
My father had bought this car in 1980, before I was born. Now I drive it, and I wouldn't change it for anything.
It has very angry engine which roars like Porsche, great acceleration, and very comfortable.
I'm going to convert it to run on LPG. I guess it will be more economic.
It is very rare model, 100 GL, with the original 1871ccm 112hp engine, after 650000km it still runs very good.
I drove it 160km/h once, and I think that it could go faster, but Serbian roads are bad, I could lose a wheel, or maybe a back half of the car.
I have one of these cars, an Audi 100Gls automatic
she was manufactured in 1975, a luxury car that never broke down. The best car I have ever bought. I don't drive it now, it needs some attention.
Even when the engine was worn I drove it at 60-80 mph and it never gave any difficulties.
I was a diesel mechanic but I could not get the hydraulic tappets right! They always seemed to rattle. Would you have suggestions on setting tappets in this car.
