1990 Audi 80 review from Japan
"A well designed car with German character :)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The radiator fan bearing started to sound after a couple of weeks after I bought the car, but only greasing of the bearings made it better, and didn't give any more problems.
The three speed automatic transmission was a surprise, as it did not have Overdrive. I was not expecting a car with a 2.0 engine to have three forward gears. Fuel economy is below average, due to the high RPM on highways
General comments?
A very good car, with good road handling.
I had low profile Goodyears fitted with five spoke alloy wheels, which gave very good road grip and were superb while cornering.
The car really feels glued to the road, especially an high speeds.
