"Awesome looking car, piece of crap to own and drive"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Hey I have a 1999 Audi A4 1.8T and my ABS/Brake light is blinking. A mechanic looked at it and thought that the ABS module might be broken since the brakes are working fine. I called the Audi dealership and they would not give me a quote. They mentioned that there could be multiple problems with the car. Well that sounds very expensive to me. Have any of you have this problem. If so what was the fix and how much was the cost, thanks.

This car is one of the best on the market, far from the piece of crap you stated.

The key thing is keeping it maintained, and when buying a used one, get one that has the service records.

And also with any car purchase, have it inspected before buying.

The problem with your ABS is probably the module, no big deal. You can find these as re-manufactured for about $250 9had the same problem). I have the same 1999 A4, and have owned it since 10,000 miles, I now have 104,000. This has been the most reliable car I've owned. The key is to take care of it.
