2003 Audi A6 4.2Q review from North America
"Expensive, but worth every penny!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Wiper motor.
Headlight positioning sensor.
Exhaust recirculation hose.
General comments?
I wanted the A6 4.2 since it was introduced in 2000, but they were cost prohibitive to buy new, so when the opportunity presented itself to buy, I did. I can honestly say it has become one of my most favorite cars, and I have had a LOT of cars over my lifetime.
It is solid, fast, well appointed... and with the wide body kit exclusive to the 4.2... it is beautiful!
My only gripes would be mileage, which averages only 13 MPG with my lead foot, and the handling, which tends to be more on the soft side, but then again my car does not have the optional sport package, which may have corrected some its propensity to lean in hard corners.
