1996 Audi A6 Avant review from UK and Ireland
"An excellent car spoilt by excessive parts costs and an arrogant company and dealers"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing major, but stupid, annoying things.
Fuel gauge intermittent;
Headlight adjuster fell apart;
Diesel heater plugs system intermittent;
accelerator pedal fell apart.
General comments?
Generally an excellent car. Comfortable, secure and very good on fuel (42+mpg consistently) but:-
(a) to correct even the simplest thing Audi will only sell whole units at exorbitant price.
(b) My experience of 2 major Audi dealers is bad. Usurous prices and attempts to "blind you with B-S".
