1999 Audi A6 review from North America
"Fix the bumper!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had the same problem others have listed here. The front bumper cover pulls off when parking with any type of curb. I take responsibility when I do some thing wrong, but this happens far too easily. It would also be very easy for Audi to fix. The body shop just chuckled the third time I brought it in (OK - I was guilty twice, my daughter once). They were seeing a lot of the same problem and a lot had been in multiple times. This is just simply a design flaw. Finally Audi admits it as I just got my recall notice today. Now, about that $1500 in deductibles...
General comments?
Other than the bumper, this is the best car I have ever owned. Some say it needs a little horsepower boost, I do not agree. Buy a pony car if you want 0-60 in 5 seconds. This car is refined, ultra comfortable to drive, quiet, and has more than enough power.
