2001 Audi A6 allroad review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had two "problems" with my allroad.
The first is an intermittent complete lack of power on the first acceleration on cool mornings. Dealer did replace and engine temperature sensor, but that did not resolve the problem. Dealer recommended using lower octane gas for one tank. This sounded wrong, but I did it and the problem appears to be gone. A good warm up also seems to work.
The second problem is an little buzzing sound from the right right tire well on hot days after I've driven fairly hard. It stops after 3 to 4 minutes.
General comments?
The allroad is extremely fast, but not quick off the line vehicle.
The sound system is extremely good.
This car has a personality that you need to get used to, but I haven't had any major problems.
You'll enjoy cruising in this car 70 to 110 mph. It is a great road trip car.
I get a lot of comments about how good the car looks.
If the transmission was a little smoother, this would be a perfect car.
