2000 Audi A6 Quattro review from North America
"Nice car, but way too many expensive problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Battery died after 2 yrs
New battery died again after 2-1/2 yrs
Radio reception got very poor
brakes warped at 35K, replaced at 60K
Cooling fan sounds like a jet engine
Fans squeals like a sick bird
Coolant reservoir cracked and broken
Vacuum leak
Check Engine light comes on all the time
Different Problems - $100 to reset.
General comments?
Car drives and handles nice, but the fan squeal and roar is very disturbing.
Brakes wobble a lot in the mountains.
Radio reception very poor, Audi fixed it, sort of, now it's better, but still not very good.
Every time we take it in for normal service they seem to find something wrong with it and it's very expensive to fix. (Serpentine belt, vacuum leak, catalytic converters, etc, etc, it's always something!)
