1986 Audi Coupe GT review from North America
"A personal labour of love"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It should be noted that I bought this car in mediocre condition. The suspension, shocks, brakes and gear-box had recently been repaired.
Repairs that became my responsibility were the transmission cap and link table.
The alterator soon followed along with a corroded fuel line.
Tie rods, a new radiator, fuel filter and some work have completed the first round of required repairs.
Most of these problems are related to hostile Canadian winters and careless previous ownership.
General comments?
Having made the necessary repairs, now she really moves, accelerates like a 5 cylinder car should.
The stability, handling and overall performance of the platform are remarkable, I'm very impressed and very happy with my purchase.
