1990 Audi Coupe review from UK and Ireland
"Performance and style at no money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far; water seeping into boot space.
Temp gauge not working.
Fog lamp switch sticking.
Power steering noisy.
Windscreen laminate separating.
Drivers window not working (could be switch)
Drivers seat uncomfortable and interior a bit drab.
General comments?
The car on the whole drives well, it looks good and goes like a fast thing with a chilli up its bum. although steering could do with stiffening up,17 inch, low profiles would help. to some degree it helps that certain probs are common, and I'm not going to get myself all paranoid thinking that the car is out to reep vengance on my wallet. my original idea was for it to be a restoration project without to much emphasis on the body work restoration and more on the mechanical, given the body work is galvanised and the engine and gearbox are pretty well bullet proof it shouldn't be to great a task, and I am looking forward to seeing and driving the end result. give it the right wheels, a decent paint job (metallic black 'mmmm') with a cream leather interior to finish her off and I recon you will end up with a motor worth a grin factor of 8.
