1990 Audi V8 Quattro review from North America
"slower to start, but a muscle car in a luxury body"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Failed oxygen sensor at170k.
Failed brake booster at155k.
Failed power steering pump at160k.
General comments?
This car is wonderful to drive.
Not much low end, but I average 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. But who wants quick pickup in a luxury sedan?
This vehicle is rare and therefore parts are expensive.
I am blessed to have found a good mechanic and parts supplier.
Aftermarket alterations are minimal, only offering exhaust and a chip and k&n. These together will give you about 35 more ponies.
I average 21/24mpg's. Not bad for it's size.
Interior is gorgeous and comfortable.
Climate control only has two speeds.
0n the highway flying by any vehicle is a breeze.
This car was built for the Autobahn.
Though I've made repairs the car has never ever failed me.
It always runs no matter what.
It's amazing in the snow, even with bald tires.
They last forever, I know of one up-state with over 250k.
They're expensive, but well worth it.
