Good handling and is hardy as a tank.
The E30 generation 3 series is certainly very solidly built. Much better, in my opinion, than the latter E36 and maybe even the E46 generations.
However, do watch that rear end, which has been known to catch many out on a trailing throttle going round a wet corner.
Other than that and a cramped rear seat, there's not much you can say against the 316i E30 3 series. They were a brilliant model and a great intro to those wanting to get into the BMW circle.
