What things have gone wrong with the car?
I saved this beautiful German work of art from an untimely death (junk yard)
I received this car for free from a dear friend of my grandfather. It had a some flaws though. The head gasket was blown.
It had some electical problems.
Just those little annoyances that come with a 20 year old car. The body is incredible with some minor spots of rust below the boot and the front door, not what you would expect from western P.A.
General comments?
The car is running as of now. I am slowly restoring this car to my satisfaction. Bavarianauto sport helped make this possible. I purchased new carpet, recaro racing seats out of a similar alpina, K&N cone filter and boot, wires, plugs, brakes and a ANSA exhaust system to top it all off. This car had major leakage problems which I wish I had sooner addressed. This weather striping was a nightmare, please for the sake of you fists and wrenches you will be (throwing let a experiencedmechanic do this.
This is a great car, it is a shoe box car though with vinal accents, manual everything... i love it. For now it sits with my collection of cars (Audi 90 20v Quattro, 1987 Lincolin Continental) waiting for my to turn 16. Yes, I am only 15.
