1987 BMW 3 Series review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump went bad, or was bad when purchased.
I believe the cold start valve is also bad.
Muffler changed 5 months after purchase. Very pricey.
Front brake rotors warped 8 months after purchase.
Radiator overflow valve stem broke off in winter. Radiator need replaced, very pricey.
General comments?
I bought the car for 2 grand. I really wouldn't say it was an investment.
The car is quite reliable when not broken. When broken it is very costly to maintain.
It packs a punch for the size of the engine. Just has very poor handling on wet surfaces.
Could use some cup holders.
All in all, a nice small sedan that has class written all over it.
