1990 BMW 5 Series 525I review from North America
"Most impressive car I have ever owned."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I purchased the car, it HAD to have an oil change. The oil was as black as the car. It also had no stereo. I installed an aftermarket Sony
X-plode, which was not as easy as I expected. The dash compartments are very tight when it comes to running wires. After installing the system, I lost my dash lights. Just simple wiring
troubleshooting and the problem was easily corrected.
General comments?
I have always owned American cars. I bought the BMW because it was in excellent shape for a 14 year old high mileage car, and I got a good price.
I fell in love with the quality of this vehicle. My two chevrolet's set in my drive way. The BMW is the one I prefer out of the 3 vehicles I own. I will have another BMW when I decide to purchase another vehicle, and will keep this one as long as possible.
