1987 BMW 5 Series 535i review from North America
"Love my car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Regulator valve
Major problem: Petal bracket broke causing a neverending clutch problem. Replaced bracket, but have gone through 5 broken master cylinders and 3 return springs. The dealer cannot fix it properly. Clutch does not return all the way still. Just waiting for the master cylinder to brake again.
New spark plugs
new headlights
new distributer cap
Mostly tune ups.
General comments?
Love my car - Even with the clutch problems, drives amazing, confident ride. Expensive to fix however - but its worth it. No rust after almost 20 years. Leather still looks great.
