1992 BMW 7 Series 750il review from North America

The biggest problem I have had, on both the 7 series I drove, (which was the 730i and my current 750il), was that the inside vents developed mold. This was a common problem according to mechanics, and they should have been recalled. This repair is BIG, INSANE, AND VERY EXPENSIVE!

At BMW they charge $4,500 to take out the dashboard, go through the whole interior (where the mold develops), replace all the parts that have developed mold, and (I forget what it's called), they put something on the new parts to prevent mold. Yes that's how much they charge! It's BMW; if you can't afford it, then don't buy a BMW!

Another problem I had was also common on both cars; the heater unit went bad. I live in Canada where most of the time, it is in use. That costs about $1,000 to repair.

Lastly, the master cylinder went bad and cost $1,500 in total parts and labor.

The 750il is a monster. It may look very overweight from the outside, but it's very very fast if it's serviced frequently.

It's black inside and out, with chrome factory wheels, and tinted windows. When brand new the most expensive model cost over $100,000+.

Now unfortunately since they have aged with mileage, now they have less value, and even less if in poor condition.
