doest like unleaded fuel in Beirut.
General comments?
This car is so quick it makes other people on the road seem as if they are standing still. Any gear gives you a delivery of smooth relentless power. The engine begs to excite you in way possible at any speed. As you progress through the somewhat never ending rev range the trombone ensemble from the twin steel exhaust lets you know that you burning all the fuel you just put in half an hour ago.
This car is also rides incognito. People have seen so many M3s around Beirut it is common to assume that this is just another 318 m3 replica. It soon changes the arrogant, look at me I'm upper class, driving a porsche boxster smile on the somewhat uneducated self indulgent population who seem to assume they own the road.
Pop the clutch and hammer the car in first gear it will roar to the red line where a quick second gear change allows the rear to shake free again, well on the way to 60 miles per hour. All this frantic noise and power delivery happens in just over the five second mark.
By now boxster boys face has changed somewhat... :)
Although the M in ///M3 does not stand for motor sport it stands for monster, it has its moments from time to time. It does not appreciate being labored in traffic and will punish you with the slightest lack of attention in the wet.
In Beirut the car attracts a lot of bad attention from people asking you whether you want to sell or race the car.
The golden rule with this car is treat is with respect and it will do the same to you. Should you try and become overly confident this car can change from a rear wheel drive master piece to a raging bull with a attitude for the rear wheel drive novice.
See you at the lights Mr AMG Merc.
Boxster boy
Impreza Ignorant.
BMW M3 will run you all out of town. Whether you are the good the bad or the just plain ugly.
