1979 Buick Century Wagon review from UK and Ireland
"One of the most satisfying cars I've ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The exhaust fell apart, the radio died, the tilt steering column worked loose, and the clock burnt out (frightening at the time but no other harm done).
It uses oil and the radiator leaks slightly.
But it has never failed to complete a journey and I have towed a few of my buddies show cars home!
General comments?
It has adequate performance and is a great tow car. Being a wagon, my buddies like to load it up when we go to car shows.
I can't fault it for comfort and smoothness, fuel consumption is reasonable at about 20 MPG.
Despite rust getting a hold of the bodywork, I shall keep it on the road as long as I can - it has done everything I expected of it and more besides.
