1991 Buick Century Custom review from North America

"This is definitely in which to invest."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Cruise control, turn signal lever on wheel, and tires were replaced when I bought the car in December of 2001, at 99,000 miles.

Engine began rattling at 107,000 miles, but has stopped with an oil change and lube.

Replaced serpentine belt at 108,000 miles.

General comments?

I really enjoy my car.

It has held up fairly well with a recent college graduate that drives a lot as its primary (and basically only) driver. (I am very protective of my car and very cautious of who drives it.)

The condition is wonderful. The previous owner really took care of the car. The seating looks brand new. The car still has the original coat of paint on it and it still looks good. There are no signs of rust anywhere.

It is very reliable. I have driven over 9,000 miles in the last 6 months due to commuting to and from college and work. The car has not let me down. It has not given me any major problems. I feel that this car is definitely a car to invest in.

I love my car. I take care of my car and make sure it gets the recommended oil change/lube every 3 months/3,000 miles. If there is a weird noise, I make sure the car gets in the shop to be looked at. I drive defensively in my car, although rather fast at times, in order to keep from getting in accidents.

My theory is that to have a good car, there must be a driver-car relationship. You take care of it, it will take care of you.
