1995 Buick Century Custom Wagon review from North America
"Predictable GM product"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator failure at 65K, high mount center rear brake light has never worked. Fuel injectors have given me some intermittent problems. Solved now. Serpentine belt tensioner housing broke. Cost $65.00 The housing actually broke in half.
Rear shocks were weak, but beefed them up with aftermarket air shocks for 59.95 pair at autozone.
General comments?
Overall, pretty good car. If I drive carefully, I average around 22-23 miles per gallon with 60 percent highway use. The 3.1 liter motor has plenty of get up and go. Does not overheat. I do have some lifter noise inspite of regular oil changes. Be sure to follow manufacturer instructions use 5W30 oil. Transmission has been sure and reliable although I had a minor hose leak.
