Very reliable car if you treat it good. I got it for $1800, a reasonable price. This car is great for commuting to work, or just cruising around town. I've had some problems with the driver side window motor, but other than that, the interior is in great condition! This car has more power than you think, with a 3.8 L 231 C.i. engine. It can easily peel out (which I have done one too many times).
If you maintain this car, it will perform a whole lot better. I have had few problems in the two years I have had it, costing around $700, which is not bad at all, considering the age. This car is almost 20 years old, and I have BEAT a brand new Dodge neon off the line!!!
In conclusion, this car is great if you are looking for affordable comfort, and a good car to get to work everyday. I give it 9 out of 10.
I agree, I just recently bought a used Buick Century from someone. They said they bought it brand new, so I figured it would be a hunk of junk. But surprisingly, the car was a dream. I don't know of any other 20 year old car that runs as good as this car. The interior hasn't lost it's charm and it runs like a dream.
I have one too, it's a buick century 1986 limited and it runs so good, that and it look better in the inside that a lot of people keep telling me to sell it, but I don't want too cause its too good, and its in the best condition.
I owned a 1982 century when it was new and its the reason why me and my family changed to Honda's.Anyone who had the 3.0 v6 know what a hunk of junk it was.
The 3.0 had problems, but the 2.5 four cylinder, 3.3 six, and 3.8 six were all highmilage bulletproof engines. Too bad you waste money on Hondas - a good used Century is like a grand or two.
