1977 Buick Electra Limited review from North America
"The best car ever!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I bought the car about 2 years ago, the car hadn't had a tune up done to it in about, well, who knows how long. So I had to do the spark plugs, change the oil, and the air filter... Of course the oil regularly gets changed.. But so far, I have replaced the heater hoses, spark plugs, all the brakes, thermostat, and alternator. Not too bad for a car I bought for only $500!
Oh, and I put some new tires on it.
But now, *****big sigh***** my Electra sits.. : (It needs its transmission rebuilt, and that's gonna cost me some money I don't have right now... Anyone have a tranny for my beast?!
General comments?
This car is fast! Almost everyone who sees this car automatically assumes it's a slow heap o'junk. Far from the truth!
I have slept in the car comfortably, that's how roomy this thing is. Even if it uses more gas than a modern day car, I would definitely recommend this car if you planned to drive cross country.. you could even hitch a trailer to it if you really wanted to!
