1995 Buick LeSabre Custom review from North America
"Good beater after 300,000 miles"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When we first bought the car, the problems started. We drove 6 miles from the dealership and the water pump went out. Dealer came to get it, and two weeks later the car was ready.
Got it, then one month later the motor blew up. The dealer came to get it 1 week later.
Two months later we get the car back, and two weeks later the intake leaks coolant into the motor. 1 week later the dealer comes to get it and finds the torque converter loose, trans seal broke. 4 months later we get the car back.
For the first five years the same sh-- happened, then the car was off warranty and I told the wife that the car was not going back to the dealer ever again; I would junk it first.
Then I replaced all the hose clamps on the antifreeze and gas lines, and drove the hell out of the car and never had to do much else but oil and brakes. But for the first five years of the car, we had use of it 11 months.
General comments?
Great car, very poor dealer.
